About Us

In 2016, an important highway bridge spanning the East Bay of California had developed some degree of corrosion issues after years of use. The state government decided to carry out comprehensive renovations on it. Through on site inspections, the project manager found that the high-salinity soil posed severe challenges for steel structures. Just when he was considering the feasibility of alternative materials, he learned about WellcoRebar's high-performance FRP rebar.

He then actively contacted WellcoRebar's manager. WellcoRebar's staff went on site for field research and detailed the advantages of FRP materials in corrosion resistance, mechanical properties and other aspects. Both parties decided to conduct an on-site pilot test on a small section of the bridge deck. The FRP Rebar performed excellently during installation and use. Over the years, the highway bridge remained in good condition, solving the problem of steel structures being prone to damage. This case also attracted wider attention.

After the project was completed successfully, WellcoRebar's FRP solutions started to be applied in infrastructure projects in California and other parts of the United States in terms of corrosion resistance. The company continued innovating and expanding its FRP business footprint.
